Our Mission & Beliefs
-
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is the only certain authority for what we believe and how we live. At St. Paul’s, you won’t find opinions or trends at the center of our teaching; you will find the timeless truth of God’s Word.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." — Psalm 119:105 (EHV)
Sola Scriptura: Scripture Alone is our guide.
-
We believe that every human being is born with a "sin problem" that we cannot fix ourselves. But God, in His incredible mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live perfectly and die in our place. We are saved by Grace Alone, through Faith Alone—not by our own good works or effort. It is a gift we gather to celebrate every week.
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen." — 2 Peter 3:18 (EHV)
Sola Gratia & Sola Fide: Grace Alone and Faith Alone are our hope.
-
Faith is not meant to stay behind church walls. Because of what Jesus has done for us, we are compelled to serve our neighbors in North Fond du Lac and share the "Good News" (the Gospel) with the world. Whether through our K-8 School, our community outreach, or our daily lives, we exist to make Christ known.
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation." — Mark 16:15 (EHV)
The Great Commission: Sharing the Gospel is our calling.
Why we are "WELS"
St. Paul’s is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). This means we are part of a global family of churches that holds to the historic, conservative teachings of the Lutheran Reformation. We are united in doctrine, meaning you will hear the same scriptural truth in our pews that you would in any WELS church worldwide.
Grounded in Scripture: Our Foundation
In a world that is always shifting, we stand firm on the unchanging Truth of God’s Word. We hold to the historic pillars of the Lutheran faith: Scripture Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone, and Christ Alone.
Our Journey
1901 | Our Foundation: St. Paul’s was established as a mission to serve the railroad workers and families of the newly formed village.
1963 | Expanding Education: We dedicated a new school building to ensure the next generation would be raised in the light of the Gospel.
2007 | Building for the Future: We dedicated our current church and office facility here at 1010 Adams Ave, providing a modern, accessible space for worship and community.
